COVID-19 RESPONSE - LEVEL 3

7 November 2021

Kia ora koutou,

Auckland will move to Alert Level 3.2 at 11.59pm on Tuesday 9th November.  We have been permitted to extend each of our bubbles from 10 tamariki to 20, beginning on Wednesday 10th November.

May we take this opportunity to remind everyone that at Alert Level 3, the safest place is still at home!  If children can be safely cared for at home, then that is where they are encouraged to stay.

We'll need to know the names of the children and the days and hours of service required.  This will permit us to plan for the safety and wellbeing of everyone involved in the provision of our service at Level 3.2.

If parental requests exceed our maximum capacity of 20 tamariki per bubble, we'll do our best to equitably meet demand.  There may be instances where we can't yet take your child.  In this circumstance we'll need to ask for your understanding until we reach Level 2, or our bubble sizes are permitted to grow further.

If your child has already been attending our centre during Level 3, you don't need to do anything.  We understand they will continue to require our service and we've included them in our bubble count already.  Please note that we may need to re-shape our bubbles to accommodate the needs of new tamariki requiring our service.

We know it's not easy and we're so proud of every member of Team Te Akonga - kaiako, whānau and tamariki alike.  We've made it this far and together we can carry on.

Keep hanging in there everyone!!!

Ngā mihi,

Nikki Tarapa |  Centre Manager
